"Why I LOVE Pilates:

It really works! At first I didn't believe the whole "feel, see the difference" blurb but NOW I do and it's all true!

For the first time in my life I actually feel good about my body! It's leaner and more toned and even my boyfriend has noticed the difference! The confidence I have gained as a result has made a difference to other areas of my life!

It's even motivated me to try other things like yoga and body balance and improve my diet/lifestyle!

Every so often during the day I find myself focusing on my powerhouse and correcting my posture as a result!

The emphasis placed on the breathing whilst carrying-out the exercises has definitely had a positive effect on my asthma and I have suffered less attacks since I do Pilates regularly!

I have discovered muscles I didn't know I had and am doing movements I never thought I could do!

It's actually fun to do and even after over a year has in no way become monotonous - the exercises cater for development and the constant addition of new ones keeps it challenging and fun!

I feel I have had a great all round workout without feeling exhausted or being sweaty!

I always leave a session feeling relaxed and at the same time energised!

The great and effective one-on-one interaction with the instructor who is also a great motivator!

My instructor can and does adapt each session to my particular needs and abilities!

It is the ONLY exercise method I have ever stuck to and actually miss if I for some reason can't go!"

"What could I say that would not sound like a "paid commercial"? I feel Pilates helps me to concentrate on the centre of the body where all the power comes from. The exercises help me dance with less tension and they help me climb smoother and more gracefully. Great exercise for the body and mind. Personal attention from you (the instructor) is a big reason why it's much more efficient than going to a gym. I think Pilates works the best in combination with some sport or dancing, making the body more efficient.

I could write a book about why I think Pilates works … but you might not want to publish a book on the Internet site."
